First, we get on the bus and head to camp.  The bus ride goes really fast beacuse the counselors are so fun! They have us singing songs, waking up cows, and telling jokes all the way to camp!

Then, we all go to the morning flag ceremony where we say the pledge and hear about all of the things we're going to do today.

Next, we have time with our counselor.  Sometimes our counselor tells us stories, sometimes we play games, and sometimes we talk about stuff like friends and hobbies.

We all have to do our part to keep camp pretty.  So we all take turns doing things like looking for litter, watering the garden, and sweeping out our cabins. 

Then it's time for activities! Our counselors are always showing us how we can help each other have fun, like helping to aim for the bullseye in archery!

Boating is one of our favorite things to do.  Our lifeguard teaches us how to move forward, backwards, and turn around.  Sometimes we even have water races!

We also learn about nature, make crafts, build campfires, create skits, team building, play sports, and lots more.  It's a busy week!

We always have lunch with our counselor and the rest of our tribe.  The counselors will sing songs during lunch, too, and we get to sing along.  Don't forget to throw away your trash and always recycle!

We get to visit other counselors in our tribe, too.  We can choose which activities we want to do with them and that's pretty fun.

We get swim time every afternoon.  Some people like to swim, otherwise we can hang out on the beach and play in the sand. Sometimes we work as a team to build really big sand castles.

Oh yeah!  There are lots of traditions at Camp Wabansi.  Every Tuesday, we get to tie-dye a t-shirt.  The teen leaders show us how to make really cool designs.

Every Wednesday, we can roast a hot dog over the fire for lunch.  Don't worry, we learn how to put out the fire when we're done cooking.

And every Thursday is Theme Day!  We get to dress up like superheroes, pirates, or even animals.  Then we play a lot of games that have to do with the theme of the day.

The coolest part about Camp Wabansi is how our counselors not only let us have fun, but they compliment us on things like when we're honest when we play sports....

Or show we're caring by including everyone in our group....

Or show we're responsible at the beach by helping with "buddy checks" so the lifeguards can count everyone....

And when we respect each other by learning how to work together.

Our counselors are just so awesome!

That's why we all love Camp Wabansi.
